[STDS-802-11] hair powder

--- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 Working Group Reflector ---

To those of us that braved eating “hair powder” in Nanjing, may be comforted that what we ate wasn’t quite so exotic.  A friend saw the picture, and after laughing for a while, gave me the following explanation.

The Chinese characters, when spoken out loud, sound like “mo – fin”.  So the characters are a transliteration of the English word muffin.  But the Chinese characters themselves translate back to English as “hair powder”.

Regards,

Eldad
