Re: [STDS-802-11] HEW SG overview outline
--- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 Working Group Reflector ---
Hello,
I agree with the points made in this thread. HEW is not just Yet Another PHY;
we should explain how HEW is special in that it encompasses more of a system
and real-world view. In other words, it's not just about boosting the peak
data rate and reducing the PHY tx power consumption but also about improving
worst-case data rate, OBSS behaviour, system power efficiency, video performance,
battery-powered devices' performance, etc., all in real-world scenarios with
high STA density.
Perhaps we could capture this in an additional section called "HEW Differentiators"
or "The "HEW" factor" or "HEW Differentiating Aspects" or "HEW Differentiation
Features" or something like that?
Regards,
Mark

If you wish to be removed from this reflector, do not send your request to this reflector - it will have no effect.
Instead, go to http://listserv.ieee.org/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=STDS-802-11 and then press the LEAVE button.
If there is no LEAVE button here, try http://listserv.ieee.org/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=STDS-802-11-RO.
