Dear 802.11 members, If you discover your reservation has disappeared, do not panic. It is still there. If you need to modify your reservation, please contact the meeting planners directly. Hi
Adrian, and all,
Yes,
there are some issues with the Hilton's reservation system.
When I
registered for my meeting, I need to fill in my hotel
confirmation number in order to get a discount. I find that
the hotel confirmation number is not valid and later find that
my reservation corresponding to my hotel confirmation number
is cancelled!
I then called the Hotel's reservation department (+1-808-886-1234). A staff of the reservation department told me that there was an IT glitch that results in duplicate reservation for almost everyone. As a result, the reservation department cancels my original reservation (i.e., that's why my hotel confirmation number is cancelled), and keeps the duplicate one as my exiting reservation. It is just the fact that we do not receive any email from the hotel regarding this new hotel confirmation number, which results in confusion. I've told my colleagues to call the hotel's reservation department, and see if their duplicate reservation exists. It works. Hope it
helps.
Regards,
Edward
