Dear all,

This is a call for submissions for the upcoming teleconference call on October 30 (Wednesday), 10:00am ET (1.5 hours).

During 802.11 September 2019 interim, the “SENS TIG motion” is passed and shown below:

Approve formation of a WLAN sensing (SENS) TIG to investigate use cases, requirements, technical approaches and changes to the 802.11 standard to support WLAN sensing.

The TIG is to bring a recommendation to the 802.11 WG at the November 2019 session to either

1.      Continue with the TIG until the next session; or

2.      Terminate the TIG with no further work; or

3.      Terminate the TIG and request formation of a SG to develop a PAR and CSD

In order to bring a recommendation to the 802.11 WG at the November 2019 session, during teleconference call, the following topics could be discussed:

1.      Usage models, use cases

2.      Function requirements

3.      Broad Market Potential

4.      Technical feasibility

5.      Measurement and evaluation results

6.      Technology and standardization gapsto support WLAN sensing

7.      Any other business

Please note:

1.       Please let me know if you have any items to be added to the agenda at least 24 hours prior to the call, following the format below:

DCN, Title, Author (affiliation), Time duration

2.       I will cancel the call if there is no request received 24 hours prior to a call.

3.       I would also recommend you to upload your submissions on mentor a few days prior to the call so that members would have a chance to review those submissions offline.

4.       If you do plan to run a SP please send a notification asap so that we can plan accordingly (need to setup an e-poll etc, details to follow in a separate e-mail if necessary).
