[STDS-802-11] Fwd: Text and additional questions in the 5.9 NPRM that I think we should address

--- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 Working Group Reflector ---
hello all,
thanks to Dick and Dorothy, per the ad hoc friday request, here is the updates to section 4.  it took some time to integrate into r06 that we will review today with all with a plan to finish up section 4 and and also sections 5, 6 and 7.
will need to keep moving to finalize all these sections today. as we still have a few sections to finish up in wednesday's call and would like to have a goal to have it all done by wednesday night.  thursday will be just some grammer and clean up is all.

thanks
jay

Subject: Text and additional questions in the 5.9 NPRM that I think we should address

Hello all,

Due to the REVmd ad-hoc this week I will probably not be on the

802.18 call on Tuesday. Please take a look at the attached document with some draft text in response to specific questions in the NPRM.

Dick and I spoke today, and I have put together the attached material.

I hope it can be helpful. I want to emphasize the distinction between the DSRC SERVICE and the DSRC link layer protocol, with data on our delivery and performance.

I welcome your edits and comments.

Thanks,

Dorothy
