Re: [STDS-802-16] [802SEC] Reminder on TV Band PAR for consideration



This PAR clearly overlaps a a large part of 802.16 activities:
1.  The application, broadband wireless access, is identical to that of
802.16
2. The frequency band is identical to that covered by 802.16 (especially
after the approval of 802.16 -2004, where the lower frequency limit was
removed).
3. The issue of detection and avoidance of licensed users is also addressed
by 802.16

I would recommend that the chair be directed by the 802.16 WG to vote
against the approval of the PAR on the grounds that unique identity has not
beeen established.
