The standard refers in many places to provisioned Static SA and in particular:
- In section 7.1.3 standard says: "Static SAs are provisioned within the BS.".
- In 7.2.1 standard describes the contents of Authorisation reply message and mentions "zero or more Static SAs the SS is authorised to obtain keying information for".
- In 7.2.1 standard refers to "statically provisioned services (i.e. Static SAIDs) the SS's user has subscribed for".
I have the following questions:
Why do we need static SA while dynamic SA can be used for all transport as well as multicast connections ?
Is the intention of standard to use static SA provisioning to restrict access of the SS to some services (part of authorisation) ?
