Re: [STDS-802-16] Subchannelization REQ Region Full

Hi Eyal,

My understanding is that the subchannl index in the UL-MAP specifies the subchannels used by the contention region as a whole and not the dimensions of each TO. The UCD parameters in Table 350 define the dimensions of each TO in the region.

Regards,
Ran

Subject: [STDS-802-16] Subchannelization REQ Region Full

Table 350 defines parameters for subchannelization REQ Region Full. Bits 0...2 specify number of subchannels used by TO "when REQ Region full is allocated in subchannelization region". Since each REQ region in the UL MAP is accompanied by subchannel index, what is the meaning of the parameters in table 350? Doesn't the subchannel index in the UL MAP already specify the number of subchannels?

In addition, in case the subchannel index in the UL MAP specify all 16 subchannels, how should the SS calculate duration of TO? According to the parameter in table 350?  According to the parameter in table 347?

Eyal
