[STDS-802-16] Eligibility interval in mesh mode (802.16-2004)
Hello,
I have a question regarding the eligibility interval of a node in the
control subframe of the mesh mode (Standard 802.16-2004). A node competes
for a transmission slot until it wins the competition. According to the
standard the node competes until it wins, but what happens if the node
looses in all the slots of this eligibility interval?
- Continues the competition independently of the eligibility
interval? (in this case, which function has the interval really?)
- Tries to compete in the next eligibility interval? (although this
option is not reflected in the election algorithm).
- Or maybe is there no mesh-election at this time, and there can be
collisions?
