Dear All, I was hoping to get views on possible requirements for the
Relay TG. 1. Relay channel usage Given the cost and complexity considerations, relay stations
will likely operate in a single channel, possibly switching between other uplink
and downlink relay stations or base stations. This leads to coordination
requirements among relay stations and base stations. 2. Relay station groups Relay stations for a given base station constitute an
implicit group – all traffic goes through the base station. This
relationship can be formalized for control and configuration. The base station
then centralizes control over a group of relay stations. 3. Addressing Relay station groups from the previous point can in turn be
used for identification and addressing. So each relay station is identified
with a group identifier and a hop distance from the group’s base station.
Control and data messages can then be addressed using along these lines. I would appreciate comments on these or any other
