Dear all,

 

Have some questions regarding the ranging.

 

1. figure 243a ranging/BW request opportunities, depict an example or reflect the actual maximum number of slots allocated at any given request opportunity?

 If is an example then what is the maximum number of slot that can be allocated? Worse case scenario

 

2. in section 6.3.10.3.1 Contention-based initial ranging and automatic adjustments

Change the text as indicated:

—      when the choice of ranging slot is chosen randomly as well as the ranging code is it fair to assume that one can choose

 a random number from uniformly distributed index ?  

-also the random choice algorithm must be implemented by the SS?
