I am reading IEEE P802.16 (Draft Mar2007), the merged temp version. At
8.4.3.4, i was confused by the different data mapping scheme used for DL and UL.
1) why is it only snaky vertically for DL? is it because that it is easy to synchronize for DL by BS?
2) why do we have to allocate slots for a burst first in a horizentally snaky way? then map data to slots in a vertically snaky way?
3) assume x-axis represents OFDM symbol domain, y-axix represents subchannel domain.
Please shed some light on this. Thanks in advance.
