Dear
All, I
have a question regarding the periodic ranging allocation received in the UCD. It
is specified that the UCD may contains up to four periodic ranging allocations (contention
based) with the below methods. ·
0b00 – Initial
Ranging/Handover Ranging over two symbols ·
0b01 – Initial
Ranging/Handover Ranging over four symbols ·
0b10 – BW
Request/Periodic Ranging over one symbol ·
0b11 – BW
Request/Periodic Ranging over three symbols My
question is why the BS may allocate two ranging blocks for the same purpose
over different number of symbols? I
think the maximum number of periodic allocation should be two: ·
0b00 – Initial
Ranging/Handover Ranging over two symbols, OR 0b01 – Initial
Ranging/Handover Ranging over four symbols ·
0b10 – BW
Request/Periodic Ranging over one symbol, OR 0b11 – BW Request/Periodic Ranging
over three symbols I
appreciate clarifying this point. Best
Regards, Mina
