The IEEE 802.16 Working Group met in its Session #51 on 17-20 September 2007 in Malaga, Spain. 288 people attended. The IEEE 802.16 Session #51 Report summarizes the outcome: The report also includes highlights of significant events following the session. In particular, the ITU Radiocommunication Assembly yesterday granted final approval to update the IMT-2000 Recommendation to include a new sixth radio interface, "IMT-2000 OFDMA TDD WMAN", that is based on a normative reference to IEEE Std 802.16.
