[STDS-802-16] Announcement of 802.16nrr plan



Dear 802.16 participants,

The purpose of this email is to announce the 802.16nrr work plan for the
period up to the January meeting. This Ad Hoc Committee intends to promote
discussion on new functionalities for high reliablility and robustness
systems. The related applications are Broadband LMR (public safety,
transportation, industrial, etc), Surveillance, Airport Surface Operations
and other civil and enterprise applications.

Please find below the proposed plan for the WG Ad Hoc Committee activities.

    - First conference call: 4th of December 2008 at 11am (EST),
    - Second conference call: 6th of January 2009 at 11am (EST),
    - Email discussions on the 802.16nrr reflector,
    - Ad hoc meeting at the session #59.

	At Session #59, following a call for interest on network robustness
and reliability <http://ieee802.org/16/docs>, a Working Group Ad Hoc
Committee on Network Robustness and Reliability was initiated, with Arnaud
Tonnerre as Chair. The Ad Hoc Committee plans to hold conference calls, to
be announced on the 802.16 email reflector, and expects to meet at Session
#59.
