Dear All, I have some comments
on the relay draft: -
Resource mapping (15.5.3.2.1
and 15.5.3.4.1) n
Main point: the indication
of RS-only transmissions is not necessary n
The text comes from
contribution #2106. I believe that there is some misunderstanding about the Dl
control transmission in the minds of the proponents. u
The A-MAPs are individually
coded. u
So the MCS levels as well as
power levels can be adapted per A-MAP IE. u
MCS levels suitable for MSs
can be used for the A-MAP IEs for individual MSs and MCS levels suitable for
ARSs can be used for the ARSs. I do not see any need for RS-specific zones. -
Gap issue (15.5.3.2.2 and
15.5.3.4.2) n
I believe that the BS and
the RS frames can be shifted w.r.t. each other. We do not need a 5-symbol DL
subframe as shown in the Figure. -
Addressing n
When ARS enters the network,
it enters as an AMS. So it gets the BE connection. We need to decide what
happens to the BE connection of the ARS when it starts operating as an ARS. I would liketo invite
the proponents of the aforementioned contributions and concepts to comment on
the issues that I have raised above, Thanks and Kind

[mailto: Dear All, The first Relay DG draft is now
in the temp folder (http://upload.wirelessman.org and
click on the “temp” folder). The filename is “RelayDG-FirstDraft8SeptCC.doc” Notes: -
Except for the Security section, all
other sections have been populated in accordance with the agreed scope (See
slide 6 of C80216m-09_2134.ppt) and the agreed ToC (see Slide 7 of
C80216m-09_2134.ppt). This text is still under development and will be posted
in the second Relay DG draft. -
Purple text is the notes from the DG
Chairs, and most of the time it refers to the “Choices that need to be
made”. What you need to
do for the call on Tuesday, 8th Sept, 7 PM PST 1.
Check whether the contributions that
are in scope (See slide 6 of the C80216m-09_2134.ppt), are reflected correctly.
Inform us of any omissions. 2.
We will try to make decisions on issues
where there are multiple proposals. So please review the draft and please be
prepared to make decisions. 3.
For sections where there is a single
proposal, we will discuss whether the general direction is agreeable to the
group (We will not discuss editorial changes in the call). 4.
Our goal is to select the
“direction” on all the relay sections during the first call so that the
remaining days (10-11 days) and the remaining 3 calls can be used for refining
the draft. (Security is excluded from the first call) What you need to
do for the call on Thursday, 10th Sept, 7 PM PST -
Although we will not discuss any
detailed comments during the call on Tuesday’s call, please send us your comments on the first draft by Tuesday
before the first call (i.e. 7 pm PST on Tuesday, 8th
Sept). This is in preparation for the 2nd conf call to be held on
Thursday 10th September. This allows other people to look at your
comments and clarify/discuss/harmonize using e-mail with you as appropriate. After 7 pm PST on 8th
Sept (deadline for subscribing to the DG), all e-mail discussions will take
place among the members subscribed to the DG (DG list will be created). Minutes
and decisions will be posted to the 802.16 reflector. You are hereby reminded again to
refrain from attaching documents to the e-mails. Please post any attachments containing
support material, or comments on the discussion drafts, to the temp server. Bridge details for the CC and a
“rough agenda” were already included in the previous e-mail. We
will post the final agenda for the first CC a couple of hours before the first
call. Stay tuned. Thanks
and Kind Regards, |
