Re: [STDS-802-16] UPDATE: IEEE 802.16 Session #63.5 meeting schedule; earlier conclusion

[Nothing new in this message except the correction of a typo (in red).]

After consideration and discussions, mainly with officials of TGm, the ITU-R Liaison Group, and the 802.18 TAG, we are announcing a revision of the Thursday portion of the Session #63.5 meeting schedule.

The key change is close earlier, completing session by 6 pm on Thursday. The advantages:

(a) It will address concerns of people who plan to leave Thursday evening due to a misunderstanding regarding an earlier TGm agenda.
(b) It will be a more efficient schedule, based on the need for a joint 802.16/802.18 Plenary on Thursday afternoon .
(c) It will give us more time after the closing to edit output documents, especially the IMT-Advanced contribution.
(d) It will give some members a hard-earned night off in Hawaii. [But, if you object to time off, you are welcome to join the editing party.]

According to the new plan:
(1) TGm will finish by 2:30 PM Thursday. It will meet in a "common" session during all or part of Thursday morning. It also has a "common" slot available from 1-2:30 PM to use if necessary.
(2) A joint 802.16/802.18 Plenary will be held on Thursday from 2:30-3:30. This time is set aside for both groups to formally approve the IMT-Advanced contribution. (3) The 802.16 WG Plenary will continue once the 802.18 portion of the session closes. This is scheduled to run until 6 PM, but I believe it is likely to conclude by 5 PM.

The revised schedule is on the calendar <http://dot16.org/cal/week.php?getdate=20090921>. The calendar has also been modified to show some joint meetings between 802.18 and the ITU-R Liaison Group.

The draft TGm agenda has been adjusted to revision 2 (IEEE 802.16m-09/0039r2), at:
