Dear
All, As
a secretary of TGm, I’m preparing TGm Closing Plenary soon and I request you to
help us. One
of agenda items planned in the TGm Closing session is to check if people would
flip their vote or comments. If
you are not going to participate in the Closing session and if you want to change
your vote/comments, please do as Roger guided below. (If
you flip your vote, all your comments will be counted as satisfied.) Even
if your comments were resolved as accepted, I recommend you to submit the ‘satisfied’
commentary database as Roger explained. Note
that it should be before the TGm closing, therefore please do as soon as
possible, if you want. Thanks. Best
regards, Hokyu From: Roger B. Marks
[mailto:r.b.marks@ieee.org] Folks, As we progress with Letter Ballot #31 comment
resolution this week, it's essential to keep in mind that we are trying to
close out the ballot and move forward to Sponsor Ballot. In order to do so,
please understand that we need to closely track the comment status as well as
the voting results. In particular, all Disapprove comments that are not marked
"Satisfied" need to be presented to the IEEE 802 EC when we seek
Conditional Approval to move to Sponsor Ballot. Therefore, we need to get as
many of these comments as possible to be Satisfied. If you are a member of the ballot group, we need your
cooperation to progress the ballot. Here is how you can help using the two
available tools: (1) VOTE FLIP: Though the ballot is close, the ballot group
members are entitled to flip their vote from Disapprove to Approve (or to
Abstain) based on the comment resolutions. You can flip your vote using this
form: If you do flip, then all of your Disapprove comments will be
marked "Satisfied". (2) SATISFIED COMMENTS: If you are not willing to flip your
vote, there is still a direct method to communicate your list of satisfied comments.
To do so, use Commentary as follows: (a) Open the ballot comment database
(802.16-10/0018r1, or a newer version). (b) Go to Member's View and choose the top tab
("Personalize"). Enter the requested info. (c) Click "Editor's View" to see the comments. (d) Use "View/Find Mode" to find your own
comments. (e) For each of your comments marked "Dis",
click "Satis" if you are satisfied with the resolution. (f) When you are ready, click "Export
Satisfied". (g) Click "Save Satisfied List to File" (h) Upload the resulting exported .cmts file
("LB31_Name1_Name2.cmts") to the ballot comments area <http://lb31.wirelessman.org>. On behalf of the Working Group, thanks for your cooperation
in helping to move the project forward. Roger
To: IEEE 802.16 Reflector At the Closing Plenary of IEEE 802.16 Session #65, on 14
January 2010, the WG approved a motion "That the WG terminate LB #30 and
initiate a new WG LB #31 of new WG draft P802.16m/D4 based on
the comment resolutions contained in 802.16-10/0001r2." Accordingly, IEEE 802.16 Working Group Letter Ballot #31 is
now open, through 5 March 2010 AOE. |
