Dear 802.16 M2M Fans, The 802.16 Project Planning
Committee had its M2M call #1 on Aug 25th and we discussed the input
contributions for the System Requirements. The following contributions were
discussed (See PPC upload directory http://dot16.org/ul/ul.cgi?command=viewupload&database=ppc_db
): -
C80216ppc-10_0049r1.doc - Functional Requirements for Network
Entry and Random Access by Large Number of Devices -
C80216ppc-10_0050.doc - Proposed Text Changes to IEEE 802.16p
System Requirements Document -
C80216ppc-10_0051.doc - Comment on IEEE 802.16p Machine to
Machine (M2M) SRD -
C80216ppc-10_0052.doc - Device Authentication for 802.16p
Machine to Machine (M2M) Devices We will cover contribution
#53 in the next call as we ran out of time. -
C80216ppc-10_0053.doc - Efficient Control of a Large number of
Devices Eldad and Kiseon are going to
try to propose some off-line harmonized Security related requirements for
the next call based on their input contributions today. Nageen, Kiseon, Hyunjeong and
Eldad and their co-contributors are going to try to harmonize some text
off-line for the remaining requirements based on the input contributions
received, so that for the next call we can discuss these and progress further
possibly. So in the next call we are going
to go thru the harmonized inputs or also inputs that could not be harmonized
and try to update the M2M SRD document. Additional input contributions are also
welcome for the next call and also for the Sept session. So the next call timeslot has
been shifted as requested to Sept 9th, 8-10PM Pacific time. I will send out details for the
next call shortly. Thanks to all who attended the first call. Thanks & best regards, Jose (802.16 Project Planning
Committee Chair) |
