16p members, The 3rd
DEV RG conference call was held yesterday, Feb 22, 2011 between 6PM-7:30PM US
Central Time. The
meeting minutes are as follows: 1. Email discussion summary
(C802.16p-rg-11/0039) was reviewed. a.
Members
to continue discussion on email reflector till Singapore session. 2. Harmonized contribution on
Multicast Transmission for M2M devices (C802.16p-rg-11/0038r1) was reviewed a.
The
harmonized contribution was incorporated in the contribution containing the
consolidated text from the DEV – RG (C802.16p-rg-11/0030r1) b.
Discussions
on whether feedback is necessary for ensuring reliability in multicast to
continue 3. The consolidated contribution
from the DEV RG chairs (C802.16p-rg-11/0030r1) was reviewed.

Members
discussed if new M2M specific messages are required for IEEE 802.16p. The
general mood of the group was that we could adapt existing messages as much as
possible for specifying M2M operation while creating new ones when necessary. c.
New
updated contribution C80216p-rg-11_0030r2.doc
containing the
changes made during the conference call yesterday was uploaded to the server 4. This was the last call for the
DEV RG. Discussed procedure to handle materials related to the RG. a.
The
contribution containing text proposals from the DEV RG will contain materials
from C80216p-rg-11_0030r2.doc
and any new/consensus
text submitted before Friday, Feb 25. b.
RG
chairs will submit one comment recommending adoption of the text proposals in
the contribution from the DEV RG 1.
Members
to submit reply comments suggesting changes to the proposed text. 2.
Reply
comments will be resolved in the 16p Session in Singapore. c.
The
updated contribution after resolving all the reply comments will become part of
the 16p AWD text. Please
note that, members can submit contributions containing new text proposals (not
treated by either RGs) directly to the 16p task group. Regards Kaushik
