Dear 802.16 Participants, This is a call for contribution for the 802.16 Project Planning Committee (PPC) for Session #72 (14-17 March 2011, Singapore). In particular, comments and contributions are invited on the following topics: 1. Study Report on Hierarchical Networks (C80216ppc-11_0002r3.doc). 2. Draft PARs for the revision and division of 802.16 (http://ieee802.org/16/docs/11/C80216-11_0001.pdf). 3. Inputs on potential study items suitable for consideration in the 802.16 WG. Notes: · For item #1 mentioned above, the Het Net ad-hoc group (led by Inuk Jung) has conducted several CCs to harmonize the contents of the study report. The current study report ( C80216ppc-11_0002r3.doc) contains two items (Energy saving and Protocol structure of Section 3) that need further harmonization. Members are encouraged to continue harmonization and upload their proposals in time for discussion in the PPC session (currently scheduled for March 15). The goal for Session #72, regarding item #1, is to approve the study report and discuss the next steps. · For item #2 mentioned above, members are encouraged to review contribution C80216-11_0001.pdf, uploaded by the 802.16 Chair Roger Marks. There will be discussion of this issue during the opening plenary and the discussion will continue in the PPC session. · Please note that discussions in the PPC will be contribution-driven. So, if you have an item that you wish to discuss in the PPC, please submit a contribution. Please upload the contributions, formatted in accordance to the PPC contribution submission guidelines (http://dot16.org/ul//upload/ppc_db/submit.html), to the PPC folder in http://upload.wirelessman.org , by 9 PM (Singapore time) on 13th March.
