Re: [STDS-802-16] approval of IEEE Std 802.16m
Hi Brian and Roger,
My hearty congratulations! This is a
major accomplishment for TGm and the 802.16 Working Group
Creating leading edge technologies that
really shaped the ITU-R IMT-Advanced discussions and the culmination of
those efforts in a truly advanced IEEE 802.16m standard is something all
the contributors and participants in IEEE 802.16 Working Group can really
be proud of.
All the best for doing even greater
things and pushing the innovation envelope even farther with M2M and 5G
technologies!
best regards,
Jose Puthenkulam

Thank you Roger, but the accolades really belong to
all the TGm "worker
bees" that compromised over the years and got the document together
and
completed; especially, my personal congrats to Ron Murias and the rest
of the editorial crew who worked wonders with the various drafts.
Brian

Dear Brian,
I have received an informal report from Paul Nikolich that the IEEE-SA
Standards Board today approved P802.16m/D12 as IEEE Std 802.16m.
Congratulations on the success of you and the TGm officers, as well as
all of TGm and the 802.16 Working Group.
I'll forward the official announcement when I receive it.
Regards,
Roger
