Motion: To approve the proposed resolutions (as represented in Document IEEE 802.16-01/06) of comments received in 802.16 Recirculation Ballot #2a, and to forward, for Sponsor Ballot, the resulting Draft Standard (IEEE 802.16.2/D2-2001). {Note: changes between the original Draft 1 (IEEE 802.16.2/D1-2000) and the current Draft 2 are shown in a marked-up change document (private).}
Ballot opening date: 07 February 2001
Ballot closing date: 17 February 2001 (local time anywhere on Earth)
To participate in the ballot, you must download the Balloting Tool and use it to prepare your vote and comments. Submission instructions are included.
Important Notes:
- 802 rules specify that "the decision to submit a draft standard or a revised standard to the Sponsor Ballot Group must be ratified by a letter ballot."
- The comment resolutions included here were developed by a TG2 team led by TG2 Chair Phil Whitehead. Additional Editor's Notes were developed by TG2 Editor Muya Wachira. The results were approved at 802.16 Session #11 and in later discussions.
- Participation in this recirculation ballot is NOT required by IEEE 802.16 and will NOT affect your membership status.
- If you have no comment to make on the proposed resolutions and if their approval would not alter your vote in 802.16 Letter Ballot #2 (or an updated vote cast in 802.16 Recirculation Ballot #2a), then please do not cast a ballot. In this case, your previous vote will stand.
- If you wish to comment on the proposed resolutions or if their approval would alter your previous vote, then please cast a ballot. If you were on record as voting "Disapprove" following Recirculation Ballot #2a, then your vote is critical to the progress of the Draft and we strongly encourage you to submit a ballot.
- You are encouraged to comment on portions of the draft which are not the subject of comment resolution and therefore not the subject of this ballot. However, you may not designate such comments as "binding" and may not use them as a basis of a "Disapprove" vote.
- Ballot results will be publicly available.
