[RPRWG] Updated D1.1 draft available for download
Update of P802.17/D1.1
----------------------
Dear IEEE 802.17 Working Group Member:
This e-mail is to advise you that an updated version of IEEE P802.17
(Resilient
Packet Ring), Draft 1.1, is available on the 802.17 Working Group password-
protected web site. As per the reflector announcement for the original
version
of D1.1, the PDF has been regenerated such that the figures retain their
shading
and dotted lines (some of the figures in the originally posted version of
D1.1
had missing dotted lines and incorrect shadings). Some additional minor
issues
were also corrected, as follows:
1. Correction of bugs in revised Clause 9 state tables (Tables 9.3, 9.4,
9.5).
2. Correction of Figures 12.5, 12.6, and 12.8 to comply with the field
naming
conventions, as required by comments against D1.0.
3. Addition of some text to an editor's note on page 80, explaining the
need
for base shaper text before fully implementing motion #7 from New
Orleans.
Please note that every effort has been made to keep the line numbers and
page
numbers consistent between the originally posted draft and the new draft.
Therefore, with the exception of the issues noted above, all comments made
against the first version of the draft will be equally and fully applicable
to
the updated draft version. There is no need to download this new version of
the
draft unless you are specifically interested in one or more of the issues
listed
above.
To distinguish this updated version from the original, it has been renamed
as
"P802_17_D1_1B.pdf". It may be obtained from the following URL:
http://grouper.ieee.org/groups/802/17/member/draftballots/d1_1/index.htm
There is no change in the comment period, which opened on Friday, 26 October
2002,
and will close on Tuesday, 5 November 2002 at 12:00 midnight Pacific time.
