[RPRWG] Opening of CRG Comment Period on D3.0a




RPRWGers,

in Vancouver the CRG decided to create an interim draft
of P802.17 based on the resolutions at the Jan 2004 meeting
and to hold a CRG face-to-face / teleconference on Feb 17
in San Jose (Cisco campus) and Ottawa (Cisco campus).
The start time is 9am PST.

The D3.0a is now on the IEEE website

The official announcement is given below, NOTE THIS IS
NOT A COMMENT PERIOD AND YOU SHOULD NOT SUBMIT BALLOTS OR
COMMENTS. Just attend the conf call.

The dial in numbers for the conf call will be available
from me if you are interested in calling in. Anyone
who is interested in join can email me for the details.

The official recirc will occur after the CRG has finished
its work on the 17th and the editors to the final touch-ups.

Announcement of opening of 802.17 WG Review Period

Dear IEEE 802.17 Working Group Member:

This e-mail is to advise you of the opening of the IEEE 802.17 Working 
Group
review period for IEEE P802.17 (Resilient Packet Ring), Draft 3.0a,
otherwise known as:

Information Technology - Telecommunications and information exchange between
systems - Local & Metropolitan Area Networks - Specific requirements -
Resilient Packet Ring Access Method and Physical Layer Specifications

The review period opens on Tuesday, 10 February 2004 at 9.00 PM Pacific Time
and closes on Monday, 16 February 2004 at 11:00 PM Pacific Time.

THIS IS NOT A BALLOT OR COMMENT PERIOD. This review period is to enable WG
members to review the proposed draft (D3.0a) that will go out to Sponsor
Ballot recirculation as D3.1. A conference call will be held on the 17th
of February to discuss any feedback or issues. PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT BALLOTS
OR COMMENTS. Instead, please attend the conference call interim meeting and
provide your feedback.

No changes to the existing Sponsor Ballot status will occur as a consequence
of this review.
