David,
Traditionally dot groups do not provide audio conferencing
services at face to face meetings and I am not aware of
any requirement for phone access in IEEE P&P. Adding voice
access to all face to face meetings would place a burden
on the planning of meetings and on those participants
who do attend in person. Our past ability to do so at some
interim meetings in the was based on the capabilites of
those facilities.
I for one do not have a speaker phone attachment for
my cell phone, nor the budget to pay for the airtime and
long distance charges.
