Hello all,
I'm
the editor of the 802.11n draft. The broken reference is to 11.9.8.3
should
refer to 11.14.3.3.
(It
was originally in 11.9.8.3, but got moved to 11.14.3.3, and I'd
missed the
non-automatic xref).
This will get fixed in the next spin of
the draft.
I
don't have a spinal tap version of the draft. But for those thinking
of reducing their
carbon footprint, I was thinking of offering a
"consonants only" version :0).
Best Regards,
Adrian P Stephens

Per questions on the call: Would some one pass this to the 802.11n editing team: In sub-clause :11.14.12 Switching between 40 MHz and 20 MHz It identifies TE-A which triggers "re-evaluation" of 20/40 operation: (page 229 line 12 - 17) refers to section 11.9.8.3 but I can't find a subclasue 11.9.8 my copy of draft 5 only goes up subclause 7 in 11.9 (11.9.7) - perhaps I need the "Spinal Tap" special edition of draft 5? An FC HT AP 19 shall re-evaluate the value of the local variable 20/40 Operation Permitted (see 11.9.8.3)...when either of the following conditions occurs: a) a BSS channel width trigger event TE-A is detected, or b) a BSS channel width trigger event TE-D is detected.
