I agree. We should not limit the work to coexistence among IEEE 802
technologies only. Consideration of coordinated protection of broadcast
incumbents should be included (e.g., synchronized quiet periods for sensing,
dissemination of sensing results across technologies). Coexistence with
non-IEEE 802 technologies would also be needed (e.g., DOCSIS type systems). I
have attached a slide that I used in my 802.22 presentation during the ECSG
tutorial that presents
different possible interactions that would need to be
studied.
