Agreed. We will discuss it on the call, I will make the
necessary modifications to the presentation and then I will upload the revised presentation. Steve From: Mark Cummings
[mailto:markcummings@xxxxxxxxx] Steve, Your comments make sense. Maybe we should find a brief
way of indicating that direction in the work plan. Mark Mark Cummings, Ph.D. +1 650 854 4406 348 Camino al Lago Atherton, Ca. 94027 Managing Partner, enVia Technology Partners, Inc. Special Member Board of Directors SVC Wireless (Silicon Valley

Mark,
I believe the group is open to both collaborative and non-collaborative
coexistence mechanisms.
I don’t expect the selection of coexistence mechanisms to be elimination.
I would expect the group to accept or reject each approach on its merits, so we
could end up with multiple coexistence mechanisms. Regards, Steve From: Mark
Cummings [mailto:markcummings@xxxxxxxxx] The proposed material looks good.
I would suggest the addition of a task on collaboration between devices
(both different kinds of 802 devices and with non 802 devices) since the ECSG
voted very strongly to recommend those, there seemed to be strong support at
the Tutorial amongst the EC Members and the general audience, and you suggested
that definition during the voting on the days following the Tutorial. Mark Mark Cummings, Ph.D. +1 650 854 4406 348 Camino al Lago Atherton, Ca. 94027 Managing Partner, enVia Technology Partners, Inc. Special Member Board of Directors SVC Wireless (Silicon Valley

All,
Our first order of business regarding TVWS coexistence is to agree on what
tasks we plan to address. To that end I have prepared a presentation on a
possible plan for the work. I have posted it on the Mentor and plan
to discuss this on next week’s conference call.
We will be using the 802.19 part of Mentor for our documents. If you have
not ever posted a document you will need access. If you expect to be
posting some documents in the future you may want to get access now. To
do that you go to the 802.19 part of Mentor,
Then you click on “new document” on the upper right. You will
then be told that you need to be granted access. I can grant you
access. I do not seem to get an automatic email from the system, so if
you do attempt to get access please notify me so I can go the web site and
grant you access. Otherwise, I do not check regularly.
When you do post a document under groups select “tvws’ which is a new study
group on the web site.
I have a volunteer to be secretary for the 1 PM calls, but still need a
volunteer for the 7PM calls. Steve |
