Dear
Richard Referring to
your recent e-mail, -regarding having a requirement addressing secured communication,
it is a good idea to incorporate. We will reflect this in our next update. -concerning using the term “principles” instead of “requirements”,
during LA meeting, the guidelines agreed was to create a set of high-level
requirements to be included in the system design document (SDD). You can check
the minutes of LA meeting for more details. With regards Yohannes From: Richard Paine
[mailto:richard.h.paine@xxxxxxxxx] There is no mention of security
in these requirements. In fact, there is reference to geolocation and
identity with no requirement to maintain the security of the information.
I would be considering the
principles that you want to espouse in a coexistence situation rather
than direct requirements. Principles generally include futures
rather than short term solutions. Remember that this standard is probably
going to take five years to publish. For example: 1.
It is a principle
that 802.19.1 maintain coexistence privacy and security for geolocation and
personal TVWS information 2.
It is a principle
that 802.19.1 include discovery of devices and operationally monitor TVWS
spectrum 3.
It is a principle
that 802.19.1 provide an coexistence analysis functionality to the standard 4.
It is a principle
that 802.19.1 provide for a decision engine with both policy decision and
policy enforcement support 5.
It is a principle that
802.19.1 provision centralized, distributed, and autonomous decision support. 6.
It is a principle
that 802.19.1 have a means to exchange information between TVWS participants 7.
It is a principle that
802.19.1 have the capability to facilitate reconfiguration and control to TVBD
networks and devices 8.
It is a principle
that 802.19.1 update radio environmental information related to coexistence Richard Paine Success is getting what you want, happiness is liking what you

on the IEEE mentor (https://mentor.ieee.org/802.19/documents) that
provides a list of P802.19.1 system requirements. The material is
intended for presentation during the Feb 16 telephone conference of the TG to
discuss on requirements. Regards Yohannes ================================================== New
