All,
If 802.19 would like to put together comments on the
PAR, Paul Nikolich informs me that we can provide them to Jon Rosdahl
and Jon can provide them to the NesCom committee.
Is there a volunteer to draft a short comment
regarding adding P802.19.1 as a related project? Tuncer is this
something you could do?
Steve

Specification
Steve, at a minimum, you should flag that 802.19 was not mentioned in
the PAR and it is another activity developing specifications in the
White Space.

All,
IEEE SCC41 has developed a PAR for a MAC/PHY in the TVWS.
Roger Marks pointed this out and it was suggested that 802 provide
feedback.
It looks like NesCom will vote on this PAR on January 21 so if
comments are to be provided it should be before then.
Here is a link to the PAR,
http://grouper.ieee.org/groups/scc41/adhoc-wsr/contrib/scc41-ws-radio-10-0029-10.pdf
If anyone has any comments or questions please reply-all to
this email. One of the authors of the PAR is a participant in 802.19
so he may be able to answer questions directly.
At a minimum this represents another MAC/PHY in the band so
coexistence is an issue.

It would be great to see a response of 802 to this PAR.

Hi Roger,
Thanks for pointing this out.
This is new and has not been discussed in 802 so far.

I see that the NesCom Continuous Processing Agenda includes:
P1900.7: Standard for MAC and PHY Specification for Fixed, Nomadic, and
Mobile Operation of White Space Dynamic Spectrum Access Radio Systems
Have folks from 802 been aware of this activity and/or engaged with the
PAR development? Is the draft PAR available for review?
[If we've already discussed this, my apologies for my poor memory.]
Roger
