[802.19] Access to outdoor WiFi Interference Data Bases_CORAL CR systems

Dear all,

FYI,

"Researchers interested in distributed sensing, Wi-Fi cognitive radio
development, and Wi-Fi interference behavior in an outdoor urban
environment can have access to a number of data bases that the
Communications Research Centre (Ottawa,Canada) is making public.

The data was collected last summer using a distributed system of 8 and
16 CORAL WiFi cognitive radios; The terminals acted as promiscuous
(monitor) mode interference sniffers, each sniffer collecting its own
REAM data base. All Wi-Fi packets correctly received (Rssi> ~-92 dBm)
were recorded with the source, destination, BSSID,SSID, mod rate,
temporal occupancy,GPS location, time stamp, and Rcvd RSSi. Sniffing
on each Wi-Fi channel was undertaken for 500 msecs on a round-robin
basis, for a 5 hour duration using omnidirectional antennas. The files
are in the order of 22-65 Mbs in size.

Some of the papers on the site outline the data gathering experiments.
We have some additional papers that can be made available that are not
yet on the site.

The data is found on the CORAL web site at: www.crc.ca/coral
