[802.19] Australia's consultation: Proposed update to Australian Radiofrequency spectrum plan

Dear 802.18 participants,
cc. 802.11, 802.15, 802.19 participants,

On 8 November 2024, Australia ACMA began a consultation "Proposed update to Australian Radiofrequency spectrum plan", which seeks public opinions on its proposed update to the table of frequency allocation following the results of WRC-23.

Of possible interest to us are:
1)  Addition of a primary allocation to the fixed service in the frequency ranges 5600 MHz to 5620 MHz and 5630 MHz to 5650 MHz.  Please refer to the new Australian footnote AUS107.

2)   A new IMT identification of the frequency band 7025 MHz to 7125 MHz via a new international footnote 457E

For details, please visit:
https://www.acma.gov.au/consultations/2024-11/updating-spectrum-plan

The official submission deadline is 16 December 2024.  If you would like IEEE 802 LMSC to submit a response, please bring a contribution to IEEE 802.18 to review and consider approval no later than 3pm ET, Thursday, 3 December 2024.

Thanks and Regards,
Edward
