RE: [802.21] Commentary Tool

This is for the comment reslution process. Take a look at some of the comment resolution files from the current 802.16e process for examples.

In a letter ballot, you can fill in your comments, suggested remedy. Export them and send them in. These get aggregated in to one file with all comments.

In the reply comment phase that follows, you can Recommend a resolution of the comment (Accept, Accept-modify, reject, etc.), fill in the details in the proposed resolution and give you reasons in the 'Reason for Recommendation' field. For an accept, you would copy and paste the Suggested remedy into the proposed resolution. For an accept-modify, you would put something different in the Proposed resolution.

In the group ballot resolution process (usually in a face to face meeting), the group decides how to resolve the comment and records its decision in the 'Decision of Group' field', the text of the resolution in the 'Resolution of Group' field and the Reason in the 'Reason for Group's Decision/Resolution'.

There are a few more handy fields down below if action or notes need to be recorded.

At the end of all this, the group would vote to approve the database as the resolution of the ballot comments and empower the editor to apply the changes to the draft.

Subject: [802.21] Commentary Tool

Hi all,

does anyone know the intended use of the following boxes in the Commentary tool ? :

- Comment
- Suggested Remedy
- Proposed Resolution

Isn't there any "Howto" somewhere about this tool ?

Thanks a lot,

Mathieu.
