You suggested that discussing laser TOSA* costs (for example VCSEL or
DFB laser TOSA) is OK since they are module building blocks, but
discussion module cost is not OK.
Can you clarify the difference. I am having a hard time seeing the
difference. Unless we discuss the cost of sand and such, there is a long
value added chain that goes from raw material to chips, boxes, etc, to
sub-components like carriers, to components, to modules, to systems.
If we cannot discuss costs, we should eliminate the 5 Criteria.

We are here to talk about IEEE standards, PMDs, and their relative
costs.
