Dear All,
Tom Lindsay recently sent out call for interested parties to work on trade-offs for the TP2 specs in 10GBASE-LRM.
I'd like to make a similar call and ask for interested parties who would like to contribute to further work on defining the details of TP3.
Lew Aronson gave a proposal presentation at the last meeting which presented a framework for compliance testing as well as listing a series of questions or areas for further work. (http://grouper.ieee.org/groups/802/3/aq/public/jul04/aronson_1_0704.pdf)
I'd like the group to take this as a starting point for work on a more detailed study on the trade offs and choices for TP3.
If you would like to get involved in this exercise please let me know.
I plan to hold a kick off conference call on Tuesday August 3rd at 9am PST, 12 Noon EST, 5pm UK.
