RE: Optical Connectors - SFF/SFP etc.
As an equipment/box maker what we have seen is that LC and MU are the most
popular version offered by many optical transceiver vendors. MTRJ is offered
mainly by only one company. If 10gbE standard has to standardize on a
connector, Mu and LC might be the good choice. Going forward, I do not see
any reason why an equipment vendor will choose SC etc. over a SFF.
Reg. SFP , I think it might be premature too specify SFP as the main
connector type. Vendors are only right now coming out with SFP.
