Pointers to hardware requirements & OAMP functions required for 10GB ethernet

Can I get some leads to find info regarding hardware requirements for
10GEthernet and the OAMP functions are taken care in 10gb ethernet.
Specific site pointers will also be really helpful.
Also its comparision to Optical Networks.
