[802.3ae] XAUI synchroniation on XGXI in loopback mode

Hi,
I need a help on XGXI receiver deskewing/synchronziation in loopback
mode.

Which layer is responsible to transmit the alignment code group when
XGXS loopback is enabled? In my environment, PCS layer is exlcuded for
consideration because the system is in XGXS loopback mode. It seems
reasonable to skip the synchronization process in loopback mode, but I
cannot find that the standard specifies either waiver statement or the
requirement of synchronization code group transmittion by source XAUI of
XGXS layer.
