Re: [802.3_ISAAC] Return loss plots for jonsson_3dm_02_09_15_24

Hi Ed,

The good connectors are based s-parameters for real connectors, but I cannot share the make and model. I can share that I have seen similar characteristics from more than one source.

The bad connectors are entirely simulated. I have not seen real connectors being this bad.

The simulation I shared is for coax cables. I have done similar experiments for STP and they can have similar ISI artifacts.

Hi Ramanjit,

I have sent you the S-parameters in a separate email.

To answer your question below, the channel is only for the coax cables and the inline connectors. My simulations assumed ideal 50Ohm termination at both ends of the cable. The simulation does not include PCB, PoC, etc.

Please let me know if I can provide any further information.

Ragnar

Hi Ragnar, Thanks a lot for your detailed presentation and sharing the return loss curves. Does this channel include the MDI/ENIS (PCB Traces, PoC, ESD components) as well ? Please let us know the link to the s-param data for this channel, or

Please let us know the link to the s-param data for this channel, or

alternately  if you can mail it to me directly, it will be very helpful.

Thanks and Regards
