[802.3_ISAAC] comment 242: link_status in the PCS?

Comment 242 fixes an obvious error (link_status from LINK MONITOR to PHY CONTROL) but highlighted another (long standing) error.

As far as I can tell, link_status is not used in our PCS Transmit or PCS Receive functions at all, as far as I can tell.  This has been the case for a while, and goes back to other clauses.  At one time link_status reset certain state diagrams in the PCS, but not in ours (as far as I can tell).    It still connects to the OAM state diagram.

Unless I missed something, we should add to the resolution of comment 242:

In Figure 202-1:

  • Delete the “dot” and the connections for link_status toto PCS Transmit and PCS Receive (move the label to the arc coming out of LINK MONITOR)
  • Connect link_status to PCS OAM (since this specifies using the clause 149 OAM, I assume that means the clause 149 state diagram, which uses link_status to reset the Figure 149-24 state diagram for receiving the OAM.
  • In Figure 202-3, remove the connection of link_status to the PCS RECEIVE and PCS TRANSMIT blocks (but leave connection to PCS OAM)

This impacts clause 201 too:

In Figures 201-3 & 201-4, 201-7, 201-8, remove the connection of link_status to the PCS RECEIVE and PCS TRANSMIT blocks (but leave PCS OAM)

Or, did I miss something?
