Dear Colleagues, Just a friendly reminder that
the next meeting of the P802.3bq Rx CMNR ad hoc is scheduled for Wednesday, January 21st, 2015 from 9:30AM to 11:00AM PST. Unapproved minutes from the December 17th Rx CMNR ad hoc were circulated with the January 7th meeting reminder and will be posted to the
ad hoc area of the P802.3bq site. Please contact me if you would like a copy for review. At this time, I have received no requests for presentation time nor any contributions to be shared with in the ad hoc. However, we will have a discussion to follow up on some observations that we heard during comment resolution in last week’s P802.3bq Task Force meeting. Along those lines, I have prepared/am preparing a brief discussion aid that we’ll use during the meeting in order to ·
level set on some standards language, ·
break down the 10GBASE-T specification in Clause 55.5.4.3 so we have a shared understanding of the specification, and ·
discuss some potential updates to use for Clause 105 (the 802.3 clause formerly known as Clause 98). The purpose of the discussion is to help us as Rx CMNR ad hoc participants work towards text that can be included in comments against P802.3bq Draft 1.2 in
our upcoming third Task Force review. If you are interested in presenting, please request a time slot
and please forward your contributions to me (peter.r.cibula@xxxxxxxxx)
and Dave Chalupsky (david.chalupsky@xxxxxxxxx)
no later than 11:00PM Tuesday, January 20th 2015 AOE. I’ll adjust the agenda as needed to accommodate your contribution. Looking forward, I can confirm that several investigations related to the ad hoc’s charter are under way, and I am looking forward to scheduling any associated
contributions in the near future. As a reminder, contributions along the lines of improving and augmenting the existing test, of replacing the existing test, and of deleting the existing requirement
are welcome! In closing, thank you to all participants for our ongoing constructive and informative discussions on this topic. I’m looking forward to continuing those discussions as we continue to investigate the Rx CMNR test and develop text for Subclause 105.5.4.3. Best regards, Pete Cibula P802.3bq Rx CMNR ad hoc Chair PS Please accept my apologies for the late reminder; as you might expect and have probably experienced, stuff happens “back at the ranch” during meeting weeks.
