[802.3_RTPGE] Conference call on Energy Efficient Ethernet for RTPGE - Thursday, October 18 at 8AM PDT

Dear colleagues,

As we begin to transition from Study group to Task Force, the time is right to begin the technical work to develop a baseline proposal for EEE.  I would like to have a conference call on Thursday, October 18 at 8AM PDT.  The proposed agenda is:

Presentation topics should be aimed how defining what EEE should be for this project.  Should we simply re-use Low Power Idle or do something different?  If we have a technology choice to make (more than one proposal to consider) I believe we should compare them based on estimated energy savings and PHY wake time. 

Those interested in presenting please send your topic and time request to me at mjbennett@xxxxxxxx no later than Monday, October 15th at 5PM PDT.  The presentation materials will be posted in the Ad Hoc Materials section of the RTPGE web (http://www.ieee802.org/3/RTPGE/public/adhoc/index.htm) prior to the meeting.
