Yan With regard to your question on the 8B6T+PR and minimum distance and the quick simulation you did. In your example in Excel you have a problem with the initial conditions. Your first transmit ternary 6T symbol is as follows: TX 6T sequence with disparity An Bn Cn Dn En Fn -1 0 0 1 -1 1 And your first Rx Quinary 6T symbol is as follows: RX Quinary sequence with 1+D channel An Bn Cn Dn En Fn -1 -1 0 1 0 0 So you have assumed that the value of the TX 6T Fn at time before 0, e.g. (time -1) is 0. However, the previous symbol cannot end in zero. So the value of An for
