[802.3_SPEP2P] FW: [STDS-802-3] IEEE P802.3dg 100 Mb/s Long-Reach Single Pair Ethernet initial IEEE 802.3 Working Group ballot results

Please see below for our ballot results.  The editorial team is working hard and hopes to have proposed responses posted by Monday.  Remember, we have an ad hoc scheduled for 9 September to begin comment resolution.  We will start with an overview and then with those comments and issues involving presentations.

Dear Colleagues,

The initial IEEE 802.3 Working Group ballot of the IEEE P802.3dg 100 Mb/s Long-Reach Single Pair Ethernet amendment closed successfully on 31 August 2025. The ballot exceeded the required 75% for consensus to approve the draft. The IEEE P802.3dg Task Force will start consideration of the 289 comments submitted at its 9 September 2025 teleconference interim meeting <https://www.ieee802.org/3/calendar.html>. The availability of the comment database has already been announced on the IEEE P802.3dg Task Force reflector.

The ballot statistics are:

 250 Voters
 129 Approve
   9 Disapprove 
  30 Abstain
 168 Ballots returned

  67% Response Rate (> 50% required)
  17% Abstain Rate (< 30% required)
  93% Approval Rate (>= 75% required)
