Ethernet Backplane Study Group: Call for Presentations
If you wish to present at the January interim meeting in Vancouver, please submit your request per the guidelines that may be found at the Procedure for Presenters web page:

Presenters must also meet the guidelines for presentation submisssion that are also outlined in this page. Given the purpose of the study group is to generate a project authorization request (PAR) and set objectives for a potential task force, presentations on the following topics are strongly recommended:
* Backplane interconnect definition (the media)
* configurations, distances, signal integrity challenges
* proposed rate/reach objectives for physical layer solutions
* Physical layer solutions to provide a given throughput at a given reach
* demonstrate that a given rate/reach objective is acheivable
* goes to Technical Feasibility (part of the 5 criteria)
* Broad Market Potential (as part of the 5 criteria)
* Economic Feasibility (as part of the 5 criteria)
* Other valued features that should be included in the objectives, for example:
* Speed Negotiation
* Management
Other topics may be considered based on how they address the PAR, 5 criteria, and objectives.
All requests must be made by January 7, 2004.
