- Scott to talk to 802.3 about mac-address definition used in published YANG. The 802.3 modules use the IETF mac-address YANG module.
- Review IEEE modules for mac-address formats used
- Review IETF modules for mac-address formats used
- Rob Wilton has volunteered to help with communication with the IETF YANG Doctors.
- String comparison seems to be the issue. There is currently no semantics to indicate when strings match
- This is important when strings are used as keys
- String display hints is not a feature in YANG either

- Use shorter names where possible but avoid abbreviations and contrived acronyms that are not in common use.
- Leverage the context of the tree to help make names shorter but be wary of deleting too many words.
