Just a reminder that the P802.3cu D1.1 review closes this Wednesday (Dec 11, AOE).

The editorial team would also greatly appreciate it if comments are submitted using the comment spreadsheet, rather than by any of the other options.

Subject: [SUSPECTED SPAM] [802.3_100G-OPTX] Announcing D1.1 availability and start of Task Force Review

Dear Colleagues,

This email announces first recirculation of the Task Force Review of P802.3cu’s D1.1 specification.   As agreed at the November meeting, this version will be submitted to the 802.3 Working group for approval to move to Working Group Ballot.  Sometimes, we would encourage comments to be held until WG Ballot starts, but I’d prefer to encourage review and comments so we can accelerate the maturity of the draft.  We hope to be meeting early in the week in Geneva to allow the editorial team time to incorporate any changes before we ask the WG for approval on the Thursday evening.

Instructions are below on how to access the draft and submit comments.

HOW TO SUBMIT COMMENTS

Acceptable comment types:

E = Editorial

T = Technical

1. Prepare your comments in one of the following three ways. You are STRONGLY REQUESTED to use either the comment tool or spreadsheet. A comment entry tutorial is available at http://www.ieee802.org/3/ballots/p802d3_comment_entry_tutorial_v1p1.pdf.

a. Access the comment tool at the URL (last updated September 2015):

http://www.ieee802.org/3/WG_tools/filemaker/Generic_Commenting_Tool_FM.zip

To use the tool, extract all components into a folder and do not move any component from that folder as this will cause the executable to not work correctly. The tool is:

Comment_Tool_Generic_Solution.exe

b. Access the comment spreadsheet at the URL:

http://www.ieee802.org/3/WG_tools/spreadsheet/802d3_TFR_WGB_comments.xls

c. To submit comments in text (ASCII) form, please use the form below. This will make it possible for the editor to properly record and track all submissions. Make as many copies of the template as necessary and submit as an ASCII text file or as part of your e-mail. Please use this method only if the previous two methods are not practical.

PLEASE NOTE: The ASCII method involves a manual transcription, hence you are recommended to check your comments to ensure accurate transcription when the comment file is made available.

Please use one of the comment tools above if possible.
