Gary Just did a quick check of the baseline 802.3 standard (2018) Greater than has 490 instances Exceeds 116 Point is both have been acceptable. John From: Gary Nicholl (gnicholl) <00000bb92642e11e-dmarc-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Thanks for the feedback Peter. Let’s review further on the call. Gary From: Peter Stassar <Peter.Stassar@xxxxxxxxxx> Hi Gary, Thanks. I do have a comment with respect to the wording in the response to comment #113. It currently says: “"With the Gaussian noise generator on and the sinusoidal jitter and sinusoidal interferer turned off, the RINxx.xOMA of the SRS test source (where xx.x is the value for optical return loss tolerance from Table 151-7) shall be no greater than the value specified in Table 151-7 for 400GBASE-FR4 and 400GBASE-LR4-6." I don’t think the bit “shall be no greater than” is really appropriate wording. What do you mean with a “great value”? A fabulous value? Probably better to say: “"With the Gaussian noise generator on and the sinusoidal jitter and sinusoidal interferer turned off, the RINxx.xOMA of the SRS test source (where xx.x is the value for optical return loss tolerance from Table 151-7) shall not be larger than the value specified in Table 151-7 for 400GBASE-FR4 and 400GBASE-LR4-6." Or similar. Kind regards, Peter From: Gary Nicholl (gnicholl) [mailto:00000bb92642e11e-dmarc-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Please see below for the comment resolution order for tomorrow’s interim conference call (4/21). I would appreciate it if the commenters (and ideally anyone with an interest/opinion on a specific topic) could review the proposed comment responses ( http://www.ieee802.org/3/cu/comments/index.html) ahead of the call tomorrow, and if you have any questions or concerns with the proposed response please contact the editorial team and/or send a message to the reflector. We are down to the last 3 comments (excluding the bucket), so are expecting to be able to close comment resolution tomorrow.
