[EFM-P2MP] conference call details

Dear EPON colleagues,

At our last conference call we reviewed a list of action items to be covered prior to our next meeting.

Our intention is to scrub our document, and harmonizing the three EPON clauses 58, 64 and 65.

Currently the AI list includes:

  1. We have removed the OMP block as of draft 1.4, however the some of the inter block communication paradigms still rely on OMP.xyz primitives. TransmitFrame should be used consistently as an outbound interface; while the inbound interface should be consistent with the “opcode specific function activation” paradigm.
  2. Diagram  64-3 is not required, as it is redundant with the updated diagram 64-2
  3. References to variable – Master need to be removed
  4. Description of Shared LAN Emulation in 64.3.4.2 needs to be reviewed.
  5. Textual description of processes in 64.3.3 requires further review to reflect advancements in Draft 1.4
  6. Description of client interfaces should be collected to a single location under 64.3.11 “Service Interfaces”. This would collect all client interfaces from their present locations under 64.3.8, 64.3.9, and 64.3.10
  7. Scrub for consistency of interfaces with Clause 65 (LLID interfaces).
  8. Scrub for consistency of interfaces with Clause 58 (laser control signal).
  9. Scrub language in text to insert “Shall” to appropriate locations.
  10. Update definitions of watchdog behavior in ONU (based on received Gates) and OLT (based on received Reports). Formerly the watchdog was located at the OMP block, now it should reside at the Gate Processing or the Report Processing for the ONU and the OLT respectively.
  11. Review definitions and abbreviations at opening of Clause 64 and 65 prior to insertion into Clause 1.
  12. Issue rose at last meeting regarding jabber like functionality for PMD.
  13. Open comments on Draft 1.3.
  14. Address all the Editor’s notes throughout document.

At our next call we shall begin reviewing proposed solutions to issues raised. Volunteers are sought to help take ownership of AI from the list.

Regards,

            Ariel
